#WCW - Hannah Dasher
Today's #WCW artist is Hannah Dasher.
Hannah Dasher released her newest track “Stoned Age,” while gearing up for shows with The Cadillac Three and Gary Allan.
“Stoned Age” conjures up days of old with the lyrics, "Burt Reynolds in a jet-black Trans Am, Keith Richards with a cigarette left hand," alongside a modern, country rock-infused sound.
"Stoned Age" follows Dasher's first song "The Tree," a powerful statement about sticking true to your roots, something Dasher fully embodies. She pulls no punches on the hard-driving stomp, with a key takeaway: “Forgetting where the roots are is gonna kill the tree.”
After making her debut last month at the Grand Ole Opry, Dasher performed at the Opry birthday party and during the Opry's “Dolly Week” as well. On November 1, she hits Los Angeles with The Cadillac Three at the Troubadour, and follows that with a number of headline dates and shows supporting Gary Allan. Dasher has been grabbing attention since she moved to Nashville, spending time at writer’s nights and local showcases such as Whiskey Jam (where people started comparing her to Jamey Johnson) and earning the nickname “Hannah Damn Dasher” from her fellow tunesmiths. She has rocked audiences across the country and opened for greats including her hero Bocephus and The Cadillac Three. She’s also had songwriting cuts for Brad Paisley and others. Dasher is described as “combining Miranda Lambert’s swagger, Duane Allman’s chops, and Tom Petty’s knack for a hook.”
