Country Music Flashback: Trisha Yearwood





On this day in 1991, a new country released her debut album.


MCA released the self-titled album from Trisha Yearwood. The album contained hit songs "She's In Love With the Boy", "That's What I Like About You", "The Woman Before Me", and more.


"She's In Love With the Boy" became Yearwood's first number one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart that June. The album reached the number two spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.


Fun fact: The album also contained the song "Victim of the Game, which was originally recorded by now husband Garth Brooks for his 1990 album No Fences.
