Album Review: Lambs & Lions is Here
Chase Rice released his first album in three years today, Lambs & Lions.
Now, I try to keep everything I do as honest as possible. Honesty is always the best policy. So here it is, I wasn't real excited about this album. But this morning as I worked out I listened to the entire album and found myself tapping along with a lot of the songs.
Chase, I greatly apologize for not going into this album with full faith I would like it. But isn't that what is great about music? An artist can release new music and you will fall in love with a song and become a fan. So lesson learned, give everything a chance before deciding you don't like it.
This 10 track album is full of songs that I feel Chase planned perfectly together. There are your upbeat party songs with, Jack Daniel's Showed Up, and then Rice slows it down with, Saved Me.
Also, Chris covers Chris LeDoux's 1991 song, This Cowboy Hat, with the help from LeDoux's son, Ned. This is a great cover, I really enjoyed that he added this to his album.
Now, with all that said, here are a few I am adding to my playlist today.
Three Chords & The Truth: They say all country music is three chords and the truth and this song is all of that. Country music is an open book of our life stories and this song brings it all together.
One Love, One Kiss, One Drink, One Song: This is a song you can agree with no matter who you are. Music can take you back to a memory you may not have thought of in a long time but one verse and you are right back in time.
Amen: This may be one of my favorites on the album. This song is everything you need and really sums up life and how no matter where you are or what you have done you can always pray and say Amen! Also, the choir singing background vocals will give you chills.
I highly suggest you check out Lambs & Lions today!
